COURSE ID: W878T, VERSION 1.00

AI use is growing quickly, but policies and controls for using it responsibly are not always keeping pace. Recent industry research shows that 62% of tax, legal, and accounting professionals believed generative AI should be applied to their daily work in 2025, up from 54% in 2024. Yet 63% of breached organizations lacked a formal AI governance policy when the incident occurred.

Clients, regulators, and cyber insurers now ask pointed questions: Which AI tools does your firm use on client work? Does client data train any model? Who reviews AI output before delivery?

This webinar provides a practical framework for developing an AI governance approach in three parts:

  1. A governance policy framework aligned with professional standards and current regulations,
  2. A risk register covering threats such as confidential data exposure, inaccurate AI-generated information, unauthorized AI use, and deepfake fraud, and
  3. A 5-stage process for evaluating, testing, approving, using, and retiring AI tools.

You will leave with a 90-day implementation plan, a 15-question governance self-assessment, and framework for organizing documentation that can help you prepare for and respond to requests from auditors, insurers, regulators, and clients.

Who should attend: Practitioners, firm leaders, and staff in accounting, tax, and advisory organizations who use or oversee AI, as well as professionals responsible for policy, risk management, data security, or client engagement.
