Upon successful completion of this course, the user should be able to:

• recognize why effective communication is essential to success for professionals,

• identify strategies for managing speech anxiety and staying connected to the audience during a presentation,

• analyze the audience and speaking situation in order to make effective presentation decisions,

• plan and research a presentation based on its purpose, topic, audience, and delivery needs, and

• prepare and refine a presentation through effective writing, rehearsal, and self-review.
