Farm and Ranch taxation has its own set of challenges confronting the practitioner. The farm/ranch taxpayer is given relief from some of the complications of the Schedule C taxpayer, accordingly correct identification is important. Keep up to date with those items particular to the farm/ranch as IRS publishes them with notices, regulations, pronouncements plus current issues that are addressed by the courts. A Schedule C taxpayer is similar to Schedule F but not the same, be ready to recognize the associated challenges.
