Jan Colbert, CPA, CIA, CrFA,

Jan Colbert specialized in auditing and assurance services and teaches auditing and graduate masters of business administration courses at Eastern Kentucky University, Western Kentucky University and Auburn University. Her research focused on risk models, assessment methods, corporate governance; the impact of new audit standards, sampling, and internal control. She has served as a member of NASBA (the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy), the AICPA, and the Kentucky Society of CPAs. Dr. Colbert has published over 100 articles in journals such as Journal of Accounting Literature; Accounting Horizons; Accounting, Organizations, and Society; CPA Journal; Internal Auditing; Journal of Applied Business Research; and Review of Business Information Systems. She has served as Chair of the Audit section of the CPA Exam developed by the American Institute of CPAs.
