Tina Loraas, Ph.D.

Tina Loraas is the Taylor Associate Professor in the School of Accountancy at Auburn University where she teaches graduate and undergraduate Accounting Information Systems. She earned her Ph.D. from Texas A & M University in 2004, with a dissertation entitled, "Why wait? Modeling the factors that influence the decision of when to learn a new use of technology" that was subsequently published in the Journal of Information Systems. The majority of Tina's research centers on professionals learning or using technologies to become more efficient and effective on the job. She has published five papers in this area (three in Journal of Information Systems, one in International Journal of Accounting Information Systems, and one in the International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction). Tina has two additional working papers in this stream, "Procrastination and Its Effects on Information Systems Success" and "The Effectiveness of On Demand Training." Dr. Loraas also has publications in Advances in Accounting and Issues in Accounting Education.
